Protecting you

Student contract and fee protection

Your rights as a student and the fees you pay are safeguarded under the Committee for Private Education (CPE) framework.

Standard Student Contract

International students signing up for courses that exceed 4 weeks or 50 hours are required to enter into a Standard Student Contract (SSC) prior to confirmation of enrolment. The SSC specifies your legal rights and responsibilities as a student when studying at our school and seeks to protect both parties in the unlikely event of any dispute.

Fee Protection Scheme

Under the Committee for Private Education (CPE) Enhanced Registration Framework, the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) serves to protect students’ fees in the event a private education institution (PEI) is unable to continue operating due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. It also protects students if the PEI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the students arising from judgement made against it by the Singapore courts.

Note: The FPS insurance provides for all the fees paid by students enrolling for courses with duration of more than one month or 50 hours.

Staying covered

Medical insurance coverage

inlingua School of Languages Pte Ltd has put in place a Medical Insurance Policy under which all its full-time students enrolled in intensive courses will be insured by Group Hospital and Surgical Insurance. The group hospital and surgical insurance is an expense reimbursement plan with an annual limit of S$20,000 that helps to reduce the financial burden of the insured student in the event of him/her needing to be hospitalized in a government or restructured hospital.
